Have “Patience”!

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhcPPfJKs8I&hl=en_US&fs=1]

Nas and Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley teamed together to create one of the best lyrical songs of our generation… “Patience”

I’ll throw up quotes when I get the chance… but listen close to this one. Nas’s verse is crazy! Damian’s verses should be locked up! This is the kind of song that makes me love rap. It also makes me feel like I’m in a movie when I’m driving around listening to it which I love. Stimulates mind and body. Peace

“Something Wrong” Music Video

This was the single off our last album “Play It By Ear” which was released September, 2009. We shot the music video at Blue Ridge Studio in Ashville, NC. This was a big budget studio where films such as Last of the Mohekians and parts of Forest Gump were filmed at. Ian Flanegan was the director and had a staff of around 10 interns working around the clock for three days in a row. After getting about 4 hours sleep in three days trying to finish everything, DJ Complete and I went home hoping to see the finished video a few months later. Then disaster struck…

Blue Ridge Studio changed ownership, and the new owners took control of all the equipment on property (including the computer with our footage). Ian spent the next four months fighting with them just to get it back, and eventually was able to do so. Without the studio editing equipment though, he was unable to finish the project. So I picked up the phone and called superman himself, Andrew Zenn, who directed and produced my last two music videos. He agreed to pick the project up and bring it back to Boston to finish editing it.

Here we are, almost a year and a half has pasted since we filmed this thing, and we are finally putting it out. Thank you to everyone at the studio who stayed up late building sets and filming, and a special thanks to Ian and Andrew for being persistent and patient enough to get this project done. We lost a lot of footage along the way, and I am no longer broke trying to find a job, but this song still rings true on many levels.

Eminem Releases “Despicable Freestyle”

Eminem just released a new freestyle to promote his album “Recovery” coming out June 22nd.  It’s a raw, in your face, lyrical showcase type of flow… without any strange accents. It sounds almost as if he has something to prove again, which is when Eminem was the best. I only hope the album stays true to this sound. Best rapper alive??

Here is another Eminem freestyle you really should check out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cg0wv5JdQo
